Rain will not stop us from stopping Wal-mart

18 September 2012

Reader!  Were you there when we all trooped through the rain for the meeting at Patterson Mill High?  Tonight your County calls on you again.

You can do this much to save the heart of Harford County!

Jeannette from Harford County Council Office just returned my call. The County Council meeting is ON and those who want to save Bel Air from the proposed entry of Walmart should come and speak to the Council.

Rain is pouring heavily right now, just as it was on the day of the public meeting at Patterson Mill High School. It did not seem to dampen anyone’s spirits then and I hope we see a good turnout tonight.

Fortunately the County Council meeting is happening in downtown. Long live the spirit of downtown and small businesses of Main Street USA! Say NO to Walmart!

If you can’t make it PLEASE write or call the County Council.  To quote the folks from Bel Air South:

It is incumbent upon all of us to voice our concerns about the development of a Super Wal-Mart at Plumtree Rd so that they are aware of the magnitude of our opposition.  Contact both the County Executive and Mr. Gutwald at:
